SEED is celebrating its 65th anniversary in October 2022.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our customers who use our contact lenses and business partners who have supported us over the years.

SEED is dedicated to providing the optimum contact lenses to our customers. Our flagship product, "SEED Pure Series", is widely used in Japan and overseas as a domestically produced lens that features SEED’s original lens material with high functional and high value-added lens designs, including those for hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism, multifocal, as well as new design for bifocal lenses.
Although the current global and Japanese economy is recovering from the impact of COVID-19, chaos is still present due to the sharp depreciation of Japanese yen in the foreign exchange market and soaring energy and raw material prices resulting from the military invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We will continue to further refine our production technology, promote production rationalization in multi-product production, and increase our competitiveness of manufacturing lenses in Japan.
On July 22, 2022, we have launched “SEED 1day Silfa”, our first daily disposable domestically made silicone hydrogel lens, from Kyushu area (excluding Okinawa), and will gradually expand the sales area. Overseas sales have started in the European region from February 2021. This product has a high water content, is soft and comfortable to wear, while allowing sufficient oxygen to pass through, which is necessary for the health of the eyes. In addition, "SEED AirGrade 1day UV W-Moisture," which has been launched since August 23, 2022, is a daily disposable silicone hydrogel lens with different product features from "SEED 1day Silfa," including high oxygen permeability, double moisturizing agents added, and UV protection. By offering two different types of silicone hydrogel lenses to the market, we will enhance our product competitiveness in the silicone lens category.
